What is Figure 8? Its all about the Hips! The core is a complex series of muscles and needs to be trained in three planes, forward and backward, side-to-side, and rotational.
When you train your core in multiple planes, it allows you to target muscles from every angle so that you can work toward a tone flexible and pain-free midsection. Figure 8 focuses on fluid movement patterns that train all the muscles in your core region in every plane.
We brings to you Jaana’s amazing Figure 8 workout. Created by Jaana Kunitz, a world medal winning competitor in Latin DanceSport. From an overweight, teased and often bullied child Jaana found Dance and from this was born Figure 8.
Figure 8 is based on Dynamic Core Cardio Training. This is a new kind of cardio training with an innovative approach that makes use of your own body’s natural movement patterns with a series of three dimensional exercises that keep you in a perfect cardio zone while simultaneously firing all your important core muscles; Transverse Abdominis, Rectus Abdominis, Internal Oblique, External Oblique and your back.
Figure 8 combines simple steps with intense Core Cardio, allowing both beginners and advanced dancers to experience the body slimming moves of a professional dancer! In one session, the participants get their abs toned by performing hundreds of standing core crunches to a variety of exhilarating rhythms and dynamic tempos!
Working all your important core muscles; Transverse Abdominis, Rectus Abdominis, Internal Oblique, External Oblique and your back.
In PHASE 1 you will learn the 3 essential core moves that are the foundation of entire Figure 8 system. I will show you how to properly activate all your core muscles; front abs, those hard to reach deep abs, your side obliques and wrapping all the way around to your lower back.
You can learn how fun it is to perform fluid motion patterns with your hips that improve spine flexibility while enhancing your body shape.
In PHASE 2 I’ll walk you through simple, yet extremely effective, core cardio movement patterns that are performed in multiple repetitions to a variety of exhilarating rhythms and tempos. Your heart rate will stay in a perfect cardio zone while simultaneously laser targeting your core muscles; rectus abdominis, external and internal obliques, transverse abdominis and back.
Each program includes an intense “metabolic accelerator,” segment. These are power exercises that are performed for about 30 seconds, at a time. It’s sort of like doing eight to ten 100-yard sprint intervals with your abs, but without the need to run anywhere.
It’s great for boosting your post-workout metabolism.
The programmes unique sculpting sequences will work numerous muscles simultaneously, including in different directions. By the end of this phase, many have achieved their ideal Figure 8 physique!
In PHASE 3, The final phase focus is on sculpting the rest of your body. Here she shows her special body-toning moves that precisely target your arms, back, shoulders, legs and your glutes without dumbbells or fear of getting bulky.
